Embedded systems
An embedded system is an electronic system usually controlled with a microcomputer, and a linked software program. It operates machines, equipment, vehicles or materials according to specifications.
Embedded systems are often used in clusters to obtain an integrated solution. The electronics of a car or the avionics of an aircraft are common examples. In this case, the objective of the embedded systems is to improve safety and assist the driver or pilot, or even replace them (i.e., autopilot).
Design office
Our design office, headed by a DPE electronics engineer from ENSEIRB, designs any electronic product or embedded system, from definition to initial study and from prototyping to production.
The prototyping proposes preliminary versions of the system in order to:
- Verify the specifications compliance;
- Collect user observations.
Development
Our development environment is based on the Ada programming language, standardized by ISO and used in industry, aerospace, medical, and defense sectors—anywhere reliability comes first.
This environment is built entirely on open-source software technologies. This requirement ensures long-term viability, high quality, productivity, and therefore cost control.
Depending on the objective, target platforms include 8-bit Microchip AVR microcontrollers, 32-bit STMicroelectronics STM32 microcontrollers, and compact 64-bit Raspberry Pi boards.
Projects
VHF/UHF Digital Tactical Network – Communications
High-performance radio, tactical functions, and 128-bit end-to-end encryption.
Encrypted digital voice allows secure transmissions, with no background noise and immunity to ambient sounds, thanks to a high-performance vocoder. Digital repeaters can extend the network’s range without compromising end-to-end encryption.
Repeaters and terminals are continuously monitored by an optional control station.

Design and development of perimeter controllers for the construction industry.
LED Display Panel – Communication

Design and development of a multi-line LED display panel for France Rail (SNCF) and the Cité des Sciences and Industry at La Villette, including a message server and production test modules.
Utility Grid Monitoring – Supervision
Design of software and hardware for a portable monitoring unit for the EDF power grid (voltage, current, power, reactance, frequency).
