Embedded systems
An embedded system is an electronic system usually controlled with a microcomputer, and a linked software program. It operates machines, equipment, vehicles or materials according to specifications.
Embedded systems are often used in clusters to obtain an integrated solution. The electronics of a car or the avionics of an aircraft are common examples. In this case, the objective of the embedded systems is to improve safety and assist the driver or pilot, or even replace them (i.e., autopilot).
Design office
Our design office, headed by a DPE electronics engineer from ENSEIRB, designs any electronic product or embedded system, from definition to initial study and from prototyping to production.
Prototyping offers preliminary versions of the system with the dual objective of verifying compliance with the specifications and testing its operation with users.
Development
Our development environment is based on the Ada language, standardized by ISO and used in industry, space, medical, and military domains—everywhere reliability comes first.
This environment is built exclusively on open-source technologies. This requirement ensures long-term sustainability, quality, productivity, and therefore cost control.
Depending on the goal, the targets include 8-bit Microchip AVR microcontrollers, 32-bit STMicroelectronics STM32 microcontrollers, and compact 64-bit Raspberry Pi boards.
Projects
VHF/UHF Digital Tactical Network – Communications
High radio performance, tactical functions, and 128-bit end-to-end encryption.
Encrypted digital voice enables secure transmissions with speaker recognition, no background noise, and immunity to ambient noise, thanks to a high-performance vocoder.
Digital repeaters can extend network range without removing end-to-end encryption.
Repeaters and terminals are continuously monitored by an optional control station.
Voice: Analog, Clear Digital, 128-bit Encrypted Digital Data: Clear Digital, 128-bit Encrypted Digital Frequency ranges: 30 to 500 MHz, 16 channels, power levels of 1W, 5W, and 25W Programmable via cable or over-the-air using a PC OTAR (Over-The-Air Rekeying) capable Built-in power-on self-test and diagnostics Software update supported
Presented at the Milipol trade show – Paris
LED Display Panel – Communication
Design and development of a multi-line LED display panel for France Rail (SNCF) and the Cité des Sciences and Industry at La Villette, including a message server and production test modules.
Utility Grid Monitoring – Supervision
Design of software and hardware for a portable monitoring unit for the EDF power grid (voltage, current, power, reactance, frequency).
Perimeter Surveillance Systems – Supervision
Design and development of perimeter controllers for the construction industry.
